We have raised almost $50,000 and already served over 3000 meals! (Click Here to see the amazing list of our donors.)
This is an amazing response, but we still need to raise another $10,000 in order to be able to provide enough meals to get us thru the months of June. Click here to donate now!
What We Do
The Covid-19 crisis has created both a growing hunger and a business crisis here in Incline Village.
Food demand has tripled in the last month at both the Sierra Community House and the local Boys & Girls Club. Our village now needs over 900 meals each week.
Restaurants in town are also struggling to survive. If they haven’t already shuttered their doors (we hope, just temporarily) they have had to let go of their food service workers – who now may find themselves in need of those very same safety-net services.
9000 Meals over 10 weeks
Incline Serves is a collaborative initiative designed to meet both of those needs.
We are working together with local, independent restaurants we all know and love to purchase meals to meet the needs of our community. Our goal is to provide 300 meals, 3 days/week for the next 10 weeks. This will help our businesses re-employ workers and keep their doors open.
We are also coordinating with the North Lake Tahoe chapter of the Boys & Girls Club to pickup and distribute the meals through their existing program at Incline Elementary School. Together, we will now provide meals 5 days/week (from April 25-June 30).
Why You Should Help
We need your financial support to help Incline Village make it through this Covid crisis.
We all want our restaurants to stay afloat and you can help make that happen by purchasing a meal for someone who’s hungry. Feeding our neighbors feeds our community AND puts people back to work.
This is an all-volunteer effort. 100% of the money received will go to pay our restaurants for the meals they provide and 100% of the meals will be distributed to those in need.
"Gus’ Open Pit Barbecue is thrilled to be helping out with the Incline Serves initiative. As we try to get through this together I am proud to help out the community that has been so great to my family, staff and I. Thank you to everyone for your continued donations and support."
